A piece inspired by the delicate flower shape found carved into the stone slope along the way through the Pokuttya-Bukovyna Carpathians. This design echoes the Pulsatilla patens, blooming at the dawn of spring.
A Basny rug is hand-woven from sheep's wool in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Each piece moves through more than ten stages of making. The woven rug is then treated in cold mountain water — submerged in a wooden reservoir set in a mountain river, where a strong current runs through the fibers for up to eight hours, making them dense, tight, and durable.
